Choose a built-in click voice in Settings, preview it, and adjust the balance of the pulse, group starts, downbeat, and accents to suit your practice.
Background audio
Supported background audio lets the metronome continue clicking while the app is in the background. If playback is interrupted, check the output and press Start to resume with a fresh bar.
Bluetooth and wireless audio
Bluetooth headphones, AirPods, and AirPlay can add listening delay. For the closest response, use the built-in speaker or wired headphones. You can dismiss the wireless-audio notice or choose another output.
Route changes and interruptions
After a call, interruption, or audio-route change, confirm the selected output before starting again. A delay introduced by a wireless route can affect the relationship between the audible click and the visible beat.
Tuner and pendulum
The Pro tuner pauses metronome playback so the click cannot affect the pitch reading. It needs microphone access. The Pro pendulum follows the main metronome’s tempo, meter, subdivision, and sound, with shared tempo controls. Free users can try it for two measures.
